
Brain mapping is an electrophysiological technique that allows for the direct and real time observation of the dynamic transactions between neurons and the coordinated processes which produce organized patterns of activity within and between nerve cell populations, providing important insights into overall brain function. Capturing and observing these neuronal interactions are not only helpful in our understanding of information processing, behavior and subjective experience, but also in identifying and correcting dysfunctional patterns - an essential tool in the multidisciplinary field of neuroscience, including neuroanatomy, neurochemistry, developmental neurobiology, neurophysiology and neuropsychology.
